Cooking days

Learn to cook some classic French dishes, maybe a coq au vin or a daube de beouf, French onion soup or a salad nicoise and round off by learning the secrets of Peter’s famous hot chocolate fondant. Spend the morning shopping for ingredients in the market with Peter, meeting the producers and learning about local specialities and then the rest of the day chopping, stirring and slicing in the kitchen. At lunch time and in the evening we’ll all sit down and taste the fruits of your hard work alongside a few bottles of well chosen local wine. It’s not scary Michelin star stuff, just good honest cooking that you can use to impress your friends the next time they come over for dinner.

from £100 per person per day – best done on a Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday (market days). Longer packages can be arranged to include cooking, wine tasting and accommodation.

"Just superb, I cooked so many different things, but also went to the market to buy produce (how fresh it all was!) went to Les Halles for meat and fish. Peter drove me down to a winery, about 30 minutes away, and we did an excellent wine tasting to complement my learnings. I had an amazing 10 days, I cooked, I ate, I relaxed and basically had a great time."
